WORK IN PROGRESS 2022

Inspired by images of microphotographs of thin sections of rocks from different intrusions through polarised lenses used by geologists to see the smallest of the details. I am working on some pieces using an almost lost 17th century born in Germany, 'scagliola' in which different pigments are mixed with plaster and glue to create the effect of unusual marble stones or rocks.
